Working It In the Kitchen
Our debut cookbook, Working It In the Kitchen: Food for the Workweek, focused on making healthy and delicious recipes accessible to working families. It was featured on the TODAY Show where we cooked a 5-minute dinner with Kathie Lee and Hoda. The book showcased our viewpoint about healthy cooking. It was the start for sharing our healthy recipes and healthy snacks with you today.
Culinary InspirationA Journey of Healing and Connection
I went to culinary school as a single mother with a young child in the aftermath of grief. I travelled each weekend after the workweek from Virginia to New York to learn and heal through food. The 21,600 mile journey had lessons in love, healing, and connection – the foundation of Kim Baker Foods. Each week, I wrote about what I learned. I tried to take meaning from the challenge and observe more than simply what was taught in the classroom. The posts are a real-time snapshot of how cooking nourished and healed my loss.
