Asian Spiced Pork Tenderloin

This recipe has only five ingredients and it’s delicious!  Add it to your go-to meals. It’s a knockout. It’s spicy so if you want it a bit more mild or if you’re using a smaller piece of pork, drop the chili powder and five spice to about 1 1/2 t. each.

1 pork tenderloin

2 t. chili powder

2 t. Chinese five spice powder

2 T. soy sauce (use tamari for gluten-free)

2 T. canola oil

Place pork tenderloin in a ziplock bag.  Add both spices, the soy sauce, and 1 T. Of oil.  Massage to coat evenly and refrigerate for about 20-30 minutes to let  marinate in the flavors

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Heat a large an oven-safe sauté pan over medium heat and add remaining 1T. oil.  Once oil is hot,  add the tenderloin and let sear on all sides.  Be careful not to let it burn. Transfer to oven and let it cook for about 20 minutes or until cooked to 145 degrees. While it’s in the oven, turn the meat every 5-10 minutes for even cooking.  Remove from heat and let rest. Slice and serve

This recipe is amazing paired with Bok Choy with Tahini and Soy.
