Winter blues? These brownies are honestly the best I have ever had. Amazing. Seriously. You must.
6 oz. good quality unsweetened or bittersweet chocolate, broken into pieces
1/2 C. (1 stick) butter, cut into cubes
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 C. good quality unsweetened cocoa powder
2 t. vanilla extract
1 C. sugar
1/2 C. flour
1/4 t. sea salt
1/2 C. milk chocolate chips
Gently melt chocolate and butter over a double boiler over medium-low heat. Remove from heat and add sweetened condensed milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and sugar and stir to combine. Add in 4 eggs, one at a time, and stir to combine. In a separate bowl, combine flour with sea salt and add to chocolate mixture. Stir gently and fold in milk chocolate chips.
Place mixture in greased brownie pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until cooked through and fudge-like.
Let cool and cut into squares. With a fork, gently poke holes on top of brownies. Drizzle some of the remaining sweetened condensed milk over top.
